Chao's passion for creating jewelry led her from Taiwan through New York to live and work in Finland. The calm and beautiful Finnish nature provides her the perfect environment for creative works. Inspired by the plants and flowers in her daily surroundings, Chao creates elegant jewelry, which captures the gestures and liveliness of the nature.

In 2006 Chao was invited to design for Lapponia Jewelry, and since has become the first female designer for this Finnish jewelry brand.
